So, both Lloyd and I having completed our Hague Training which is a GREAT resource. We learned so much information on international adoptions and adopting older children. The situations that these kids are coming from is mind blowing! There was so much information and things that I had never thought of… and yes, I realize that is why they have these trainings so that you are not walking in completely blind.
Tomorrow and Friday is our Pathways Training. It is 2 days of training at the Gladney Center, which is located REALLY close to our house! And this training is for people that are seeking to adopt a child 3 and up. While we are not exclusively looking to adopt a 3 and up, it is something we are open to.
We will be having our last garage sale next month and submitting our last batch of papers next month as well. YAY! Then we will wait for our final word of approval from the Taiwan Government and the waiting game begins to be matched. Please send up a little prayer for us tonight and tomorrow that we stay alert and focused and are able to take it all in!
